Hailey Luedtke Recognized as MVC Goalkeeper of the Week

ST. LOUIS --- Hailey Luedtke, a freshman at the University of Northern Iowa, was awarded the Missouri Valley Conference's (MVC) Goalkeeper of the Week for women's soccer on Tuesday. This recognition marks her first collegiate honor.

The Jackson, Wisconsin native achieved a career-high tying ten saves during Northern Iowa's 1-0 victory over Belmont on Sunday, securing her first win and shutout as a collegiate goalkeeper. This performance was notably her second time this season making ten saves, having previously done so during her debut against Omaha. Belmont's Greta Genie is the only other MVC goalkeeper to also achieve ten saves in a game this season.

Currently, Luedtke leads the MVC with an average of 6.5 saves per game and a total of 52 saves, maintaining a .788 save percentage across eight games this season.

The Panthers will compete next on Sunday, Oct. 4, against the Illinois State Redbirds in MVC play, with the match set to begin at 1 p.m. CT at Adelaide Street Stadium in Normal. Fans can watch the game live on ESPN+.
