Kawhi Leonard has signed a multi-year contract extension with the Toronto Raptors, the team announced on Wednesday. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Leonard returns to the Raptors after a successful stint with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he averaged a career-high 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game last season. He played in 65 games and finished seventh in the MVP voting, earning a spot on the All-NBA Second Team and participating in the NBA All-Star Game.
Originally acquired by the Raptors during the 2018-19 season, Leonard helped lead the team to its first NBA championship, earning NBA Finals MVP honors in the process. He re-joins the franchise after being traded from the Clippers on September 14.
Leonard holds career averages of 20.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists over 14 NBA seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto, and the LA Clippers. He is a two-time NBA champion and has made seven All-Star appearances, along with numerous All-NBA and All-Defensive Team selections. Leonard was drafted 15th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, who subsequently traded him to the Spurs.
