Current Standings for WTA Finals Qualification

As of now, the top eight singles players in the Race Leaderboard are starting to take shape, although competition remains fierce. Two WTA 1000 tournaments alongside multiple 500 and 250 events are still on the schedule, allowing players to enhance their standings.

The qualification process allows the top seven players on the Race Leaderboard to secure spots, while the eighth berth goes to the highest-ranked Grand Slam champion of the year, provided they rank between No. 8 and No. 20 and have not already qualified. If all Grand Slam champions place within the top seven, the No. 8 ranked player fills the last spot.

Currently leading the leaderboard is Elena Rybakina with 7,492 points. Rybakina, defending her WTA Finals title, secured her place as the first official singles qualifier with her third major title at the US Open, alongside victories at other tournaments like the Australian Open and Stuttgart this season.

Following her is Aryna Sabalenka in second place with 6,485 points. Despite not winning a major title this year, Sabalenka finished as a finalist at both the Australian Open and US Open and achieved the Sunshine Double at Indian Wells and Miami.

Jessica Pegula occupies the third spot with 5,825 points, having nearly secured titles across all surfaces this season with significant wins in Dubai and Charleston, along with two Grand Slam semifinals.

Coco Gauff, in fourth with 5,654 points, benefited from a strong summer hard-court season, including a title in Cincinnati and a semifinal appearance at the US Open.

Mirra Andreeva, fifth with 5,614 points, reached her first Grand Slam title at Roland Garros and remains a contender, although her momentum has shifted recently. Elina Svitolina stands at sixth with 4,809 points, bolstered by a successful season that includes a title in Auckland. Karolina Muchova, in seventh, has accumulated 4,400 points despite recent setbacks.

Linda Noskova rounds out the current qualifiers at eighth with 4,234 points, aided by her Grand Slam victory at Wimbledon.

Just outside the cut-off are Marta Kostyuk and Iga Swiatek in ninth and tenth place, respectively, each needing strong finishes to solidify their chances for the Finals. With the race still open, players have the opportunity to improve their ranks through upcoming tournaments.

In the doubles category, the top seven teams automatically qualify, with the eighth spot also given to the highest-ranked Grand Slam champion team not already qualified. Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova, having won two majors this year, lead the standings, followed by Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani.
