Alcaraz, 23, has contributed to Team Europe’s performance in London this weekend, achieving two victories in as many days. He partnered with Jakub Mensik in doubles to defeat Taylor Fritz and Alexander Bublik, and he later secured a singles win against Fritz on Saturday. His upcoming challenge is a singles match against Alex de Minaur, Team World’s representative, on Sunday afternoon.
While Agassi was answering questions from Gabby Logan, Alcaraz’s serving created a distraction. Agassi quipped, “Hey, can you keep it down a little bit with that serve?” Logan noted that she had never heard Agassi raise his voice before this moment. Alcaraz eventually acknowledged Agassi’s lighthearted complaint and responded, “If you tell me it’s too noisy when I serve, it’s a problem, to be honest with you. I’m trying to be noisy with the serve.”
Agassi, smiling, replied, “I love it! Keep bringing it, I love it.” Agassi is part of a select group of players who have come from two sets down to win the French Open final, a feat he achieved in 1999. Alcaraz joined this elite group last year after staging a comeback against Jannik Sinner at Roland Garros.
