USMNT Triumphs Over Chile 4-2 in St. Louis Friendly

The U.S. men’s national team secured its second consecutive victory against a South American opponent, defeating Chile 4-2 at St. Louis CITY SC's Energizer Park on Tuesday night.

This match was the second of four international friendlies scheduled during the September/October window, following a 4-1 win against Peru on Saturday at Orlando City’s Inter.co Stadium.

Chris Richards scored the game's decisive goal in the 72nd minute, heading in a corner kick from Sebastian Berhalter. Berhalter opened the scoring for the USMNT in the 37th minute, converting a pass from Sergiño Dest after a clever dummy by Justin Hall, marking his second straight match with a goal.

Chile equalized just before halftime, with Diego Ulloa scoring following a scramble in front of the goal. Shortly after, Maxi Gutiérrez gave La Roja the lead with a precise shot early in the second half.

Hall quickly responded for the U.S. with a glancing header, becoming the youngest player to score in his first two USMNT appearances. Richards then reclaimed the lead with his goal, and 17-year-old Mathis Albert sealed the victory with a late goal, making him the youngest goalscorer in USMNT history.
