LOS ANGELES — USC women's basketball has officially added Alesia Talkouskaya, a guard/forward from Belarus, to its roster for the 2026-27 season, as announced by sixth-year head coach Lindsay Gottlieb on September 18.

The 6-foot player joins the Trojans after two seasons with Horizont Minsk, competing in the Belarusian professional league. In the 2025-26 season, Talkouskaya averaged 9.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.8 steals over 29 games, contributing to Horizont Minsk’s bronze medal finish in the Belarusian Women's Basketball Championship.
Gottlieb expressed enthusiasm about Talkouskaya joining the team, stating, "We're so happy that Alesia is finally here with us as she will be an important part of our Trojan family. She's a versatile guard/forward who fits into our style of play with her tenacity on the defensive end and varied skill set."
Talkouskaya was recognized as one of Belarus's top young players and was a key contributor to Horizont Minsk’s victory in the 2024 Belarus Cup. Prior to her time at Horizont, she played for the Republican State School of Olympic Reserve (RGUOR) and represented the Belarusian U16 national team.
In international 3x3 competition, she secured a gold medal in the girls' tournament at the 2024 Children of Asia International Sports Games held in Yakutsk, Russia.
Born on October 14, 2008, in Smorgon, Belarus, Talkouskaya joined the Trojans at the beginning of the fall semester in 2026.
USC will begin its 2026-27 season on November 2, facing UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of the TNT Hall of Fame Series (Michelob Ultra Arena).
